I am a visual artist/designer/lecturer. I studied for a BA(Hons) in Graphic Design from 1977-1980 at Newport College of Art, a faculty within Gwent College of Higher Education.
After graduating, I worked for a newspaper before embarking on a career in self-employment as a designer with my partner George Wilson, who had also been studying in Newport on the Diploma in Documentary Photography run by David Hurn.
We ran our company full-time from 1983 until 2002. I began to work as a sessional tutor at the Kent Institution of Art and Design in 1997 (now the University for the Creative Arts), and my work in education began to overtake my design work. As well as teaching, I was a consultant, and an author. 20 years on, I have left education to develop my practice.
My current practice is diverse, and I have a number of projects running concurrently: perhaps this is a hangover from my design days! This website will be updated to reflect the breadth of my work and is currently under development.
